FMB Global is a company in the Alsace region that both manufactures and installs pergolas, verandas and glass wall systems — an authorised installer for Albert Genau, working in France as well as in Switzerland and Germany. But it had no online counterpart to that: all it had was a single-language, makeshift static HTML page, not even WordPress. A customer asking for a quote couldn't say which product they were enquiring about, and incoming requests landed in email with no structure. A site speaking to the French-speaking region was also missing the German-speaking audience in Alsace and Switzerland.
Work done
In France, outdoor living is sold through visuals; without a premium perception, price doesn't even get discussed. So we started the work from the brand, not the site.
Brand — The existing site was really a Notion export; there was no designed palette or voice belonging to the brand. We built a positioning centred on the manufacturer identity (no middlemen, made in Alsace, authorised installer for Albert Genau) and designed a warm anthracite–brass palette to match. The site, the quote form and the ad visuals now speak the same language.
Web — It was built from scratch on a lightweight, page-builder-free infrastructure. French is the main language and German the second; every product page has its own counterpart in both languages — the German-speaking audience in Alsace and Switzerland lands on a page equal to their own language, not a second-class translation. On the search side, local business, service, article and FAQ schemas were implemented, target regions were defined, and the site was submitted to search engines.
Interface — The quote flow is the heart of the work. Instead of free text landing in email, we built a multi-step form that branches by product: the customer picks which product they are asking about, questions specific to it open up, and they can upload photos and video if they wish. There was also an invisible but critical fix: the hero images were set as CSS backgrounds, so Google couldn't index them — they were converted to real image tags.
Ads — On the Google side, service- and region-based search targeting was set up; clear-intent searches were separated from generic, expensive keywords.
Social media and PR — In France, the decision point in this sector isn't search alone: LinkedIn carries corporate trust, Meta carries awareness, and Houzz carries the audience looking directly for projects. The visibility work was planned across these four channels together.
